Jeff Hay

Head JV/Varsity Girls Coach

Jeff has been coaching girls basketball at various levels for 15 years. He began coaching basketball as a student assistant at Oklahoma Wesleyan University from 1998-2001 while earning his bachelor’s degree in Accounting. In 2002, he assisted his wife, Sabrina, in coaching the girls 8th grade team at Madison Middle School in Bartlesville, OK. After completing one year at the middle school level, Jeff spent the next two years assisting at the varsity level with Bartlesville High School. When his oldest daughter, Emma, was born, he stepped aside from coaching. When she became interested in basketball, Jeff returned to coaching at the local YMCA for two years and then it was time for school sports. Later, Jeff and Sabrina decided to enroll Emma in homeschool basketball. Jeff assisted the JH program while she competed at that level for one year. After that one year, Jeff was approached and accepted the varsity assistant role in the girls program. He remained in the position for three years. The last three years, 2020-present, Jeff has been leading homeschool varsity girls teams. Last season, his wife was able to assist him and together they had the privilege to coach their two daughters on the same team. During his coaching tenure in homeschool basketball, Jeff has been blessed to be successful on the floor (18U Gold Ball winner, 3x 16U Silver Ball winners, 2x Silver Ball Showdown winners, Heartland Regional Championship, and several others), but all that pales in comparison to the main purpose and that is to glorify God. Jeff’s main goal is to use his love of coaching to be able to mentor to young ladies through the game of basketball. Jeff states, “It makes it all the more satisfying when you get to coach your own children alongside your wife. There is only one reason to do this, it is our team motto, For Him!”
